CHAIN FRUIT BOWL
by BETHAN LAURA WOOD
Bethan Laura Wood in the design of Chain collection uses ‘donut brick’ moulds to interloop, interlock, and stack the shapes together to create furniture out of glass. Multiple donut bricks are sliced into two halves and connected through the centre of another to create the interlocking or chain construction. The curved and polished end details are a nod toward the painted ends found in many Japanese wooden temples.
