Location | San Francisco

Product | Flow[T] by Nao Tamura

Year | 2016

Designed by Garcia Tamjidi, this two-bedroom, three-bathroom luxury apartment with neutral colours and an attractive design is located on the twelfth level of an apartment building in San Francisco.

The studio employed a playful approach to the design, from an elevated volume that forms a desk to nooks for sculptural objects. White cabinets are also lined with cedar to offer a darker contrast. “White-painted cabinetry and the occasional beige veneer contribute to an architecture that is suffused with subtlety and blending, and that begins to speak only as much as the visitor wants to see,” said architect Garcia Tamjidi.

The centrepiece of the main room is the Flow[T] blue light installation by Wonderglass partner Nao Tamura. This fixture serves as a contrasting pop of colour to the rest of the space which is furnished with a few pieces, in subtle tones of brown leather, dark wood, and grey, for a simple aesthetic.

“The magic is in the details,” says the studio.
